What a partner Bloky is
We do not put a logo on a Bloky.
When a community joins the archive, our design team builds them a character. It gets a silhouette, a treatment, and a place in the world. Then our animation team makes it move. Both teams are in house, and the work goes out at the same standard as anything we make for ourselves.
That is why these announcements come from the partner's own account rather than ours. Each one is a community showing its own people something that belongs to them.
Partners are friends. A collaboration is a relationship. We have turned down work that would have paid, and we have made pieces for communities that could not pay much, because the archive is the point and the archive is not for sale.
The animation team
Every launch animation behind those links was made in house.
This is the part of the operation most brands our size outsource, and it is the part we decided we could not. A partner animation has to read as a Blokyz piece and as a piece of the partner's world at the same time, which means the person animating it needs to understand both. That understanding does not survive a brief handed to a studio.
It also means the character in the animation, the character in the archive, and the figure on the shelf are the same character. Same design team, same 3D team, same animation team, start to finish.
Where partners sit in the world
Partner characters are not floating merchandise. They belong somewhere.
On the collector map, a partner structure is placed in the terrain between villages, never inside one. The villages keep one architectural language per era, which is production discipline we do not break. Out in the wilds, a foreign design language becomes the point. A landmark, visibly made by someone else, which is exactly what a collaboration is.
They are always explorable and never required for completion. A partner piece is a gift to the map, not a tax on it.
